Some stories are written in the most unexpected of moments — and for Ciaran and Niamh, it happened on a windswept and beautifully sunny afternoon at the Cliffs of Howth in Dublin.

What began as a simple stroll along the rugged coastline of this picturesque peninsula,  turned into one of the most unforgettable days of their lives. Ciaran, with a heart full of nerves and excitement, had planned the perfect surprise proposal with me helping along the way. He did not give even the slightest hint of what was coming. As the two of them walked hand-in-hand along the cliffs, surrounded by the endless blue of the Irish Sea and the soft, salty breeze, Ciaran suddenly dropped to one knee.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still.

Niamh, caught entirely off guard, was overwhelmed with emotion. Smiles and tears mingled freely on her face as she said yes, unable to stop the flood of happy tears and laughter that followed. The joy radiating from her was impossible to miss — every photo from their impromptu couple photo shoot captured her beaming grin and misty eyes, a perfect portrait of pure, unfiltered happiness.

The cliffs in Howth, already known for their wild beauty, seemed to glow a little brighter that day. Ciaran’s thoughtful surprise and Niamh’s heartwarming reaction created a moment neither of them — nor anyone lucky enough to witness it — will ever forget.

A perfect reminder that sometimes, love’s most beautiful moments are the ones we never see coming and I am honoured to have been asked to capture this very special moment and a milestone of their lovestory for them.
