This was the case for Jackie and Robert, a couple of 11 years who had decided to tie the knot in an unforgettable wedding in Dublin. A destination wedding in Ireland was an obvious choice for the couple who live in Toronto, Canada but who love to travel any chance they get.

Jackie and Robert had fallen in love in the beautiful Emerald Island in the past during their travels and returning here to celebrate their love was an obvious and easy choice.

Their wedding day was all about romance and modern elegance, and it was shared with only 30 of their closest family and friends. The magnificent City Hall in Dublin was the perfect backdrop for their big day, offering grandiose architecture that blended history and contemporary design in perfect harmony. It is a picture perfect backdrop, one of the best wedding ceremony locations in Dublin.

The couple opted for a modern and romantic theme for their wedding day, with only a bridal bouquet made by Jackie herself and unity candles. The beautiful simplicity of the decor brought focus to the couple and their loved ones, providing the ideal atmosphere to celebrate a lifelong commitment of love.

The couple’s vows and exchange of rings were the highlight of the ceremony. The emotion was palpable as Jackie and Robert exchanged their promises in front of their family and closest friends.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed their drinks reception at the City Hall. Deep conversations, laughs, and tears of joy were shared amongst everyone present as they celebrated the union of the newlyweds. Towards the end of the drinks reception we all enjoyed a few moments of banter and fun during the family portraits followed by a few more couple portraits. With a Venue like the City Hall, it’d be rude not to!

Robert then surprised his bride with his own vows and a note which he had so carefully wrote before the wedding day and which he read out to Jackie during the most heartwarming and romantic moment of intimacy I had had the privilege to witness and photograph.

Although their Irish destination wedding day was small, it was a celebration of their love and commitment for each other surrounded by the people they hold most dear.
