Kayla & Matt’s fun and romantic destination wedding at the enchanting Killruddery House in Co. Wicklow, Ireland
a few words about their wedding day
Kayla and Matt’s wedding was the kind of day you never want to end — relaxed, romantic and filled with genuine joy.
Surrounded by their closest 100 family and friends, they traveled from the US to the stunning grounds of Killruddery House in Co. Wicklow, Ireland to celebrate their love and I had the privilege to be their wedding photographer. With beautiful gardens, historic stone walls, and an easy, heartfelt atmosphere, it was a day of laughter, happy tears and unforgettable memories in one of Ireland’s most breathtaking settings.
Killruddery House is where bio-diversity and sustainability meets historical magnificence
Home grown florals were so beautifully put together by no other than the florists of Killruddery House themselves. Kayla wore simple but elegant gown by Made With Love Bridal with a long sleek veil to complement this romantic look. Matt wore a three-piece green suit and no bow tie ( yes, you’ve read that right!) to ensure he feels his usual laid back self 🙂
Emotional First Looks
Matt and Kayla always wanted to share a first look at the round pond, surrounded by 250-year old beech trees making the location so private and peaceful.
It was the most perfect, intimate and emotional moment and once the emotions settled in, we went for a little stroll to enjoy the glorious weather and take some pre-ceremony portraits with the Couple and their bridal party.
Kayla shared an emotional first look with her Mam and Dad before the ceremony – a beautiful, quiet moment filled with happy tears, hugs and the kind of love you feel in the simplest of glances. The sound of ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac echoed in the already dreamy Orangery. The HoneyVoom Duo played the tune so beautifully making this moment even more special.
It always is such an honour to witness and forever capture such precious moments.

Let’s Party in no other than charming Grain Store
This 19th-century converted barn feels like a natural extension of what makes Killruddery House weddings so special — the abundance of beautiful, surrounding nature. The stone walls blend effortlessly with the landscape, creating an Italian-inspired, relaxed charm. It’s the perfect setting for evening conversations and laughter, heartfelt speeches and happy tears, joy, music and some of the most unforgettable dance moves you could imagine.
In house florists did an amazing job styling the room. Foam-free, conscious floristry using only in-house grown blooms aligned with the theme for the day – keeping things beautiful and sustainable.
It is safe to say that Gemma – who is the wedding Coordinator at the venue, executing Kayla’s vision to perfection. A romantic blend of nature intertwine with relaxed garden party vibe.
